Seed (2004)

The performance took place on the roof of a building in New York. It was finalized to produce a limited edition of black and white posters to be posted on the city walls. The destruction, that in the paradoxal war point of view assumes the function of renewal (embodied in the image by the bomb as a seed falling from the sky to the earth), in the artwork it becomes the symbol of creative action, the one and only potentially devastating act that, the more violent it is, the more efficient and fertile is the sign that it leaves and produces. The bill-posting operated in New York City caused 16 hours artist’s arrest.
